It's easy to get overwhelmed.
To feel like your quiet voice is slowly drowning in a sea of { much louder } voices.

As a day-dreaming introvert, I find much value in pouring myself into quiet activities like painting, journaling, reading, drawing.  But now, I'm faced with an opportunity to make the leap out of art-as-hobby and into art-as-career.  And in this world, the one who gets noticed is usually the one with the loudest voice { which I was not born with } or the boldest style { which I do not have } or the most controversial message { which I do not want }.

I'm sure you can relate in one way or another. Facebook?  Etsy? Blogs?
Take your pick, jump in, and you will drown in the multitudes.

So here is what "be outstanding" means to me.

1. a recognition that I am not unique { not really }
2. but I can be bold in my own way
3. and God has given me a voice { for a reason }
4. but not everyone needs to hear it
5. just whoever wants to hear it
6. and those who want to hear it, will get quality
7. authenticity & honesty
8. and kindness.

So what does "be outstanding" mean to you?

Being outstanding... Means that I recognize in myself that I am made by God - every detail - and that though my gifts may seem mild to me, He has huge plans for them. Outstanding is when I am doing and being what he created me for, even when all I can see or feel are the growing pains. If I'm doing what He asks, then others are likely to see a brilliance I would otherwise be incapable of :). Thank you for asking this question! It has challenged me this morning :).

Your artwork is lovely. You have a nice delicate touch. I just found you through the DPW pinterest page.
Happy Creating,
